I was checking out shopdowntownbend.com and came across a little boutique called Urban Minx.  The name alone fascinated me (damn that catchy marketing!) so I clicked on their website to check them out. It’s owned by a woman named Melissa (I like her already!) Watson and this is what the Urban Minx website says about her:

“Melissa met her sweetheart Shawn McFadden (an Oregonian), after a whirlwind romance they soon took flight from Sydney to Ashland, Oregon. Melissa loved the untamed natural beauty of Oregon but she noticed one flaw – there was no where fun and exciting to SHOP!!! She had to indulge in expensive trips to San Francisco, LA and New York to find the quality clothing and customer service she had grown accustomed to living in cities like London and Sydney and spending time in European cities, like Paris, Milan, Madrid and Rome. Melissa knew this was her opportunity to bring big city fashion to Oregon and this is what kicked her creative thoughts into gear – to open her own style of boutique. In 2005 all this dreaming and creativity culminated in UrbanMinx, a cute little shop in Ashland that focuses as much on having a good time as it does on providing the highest in fashion from all over the world. After much success Melissa opened her second store in Medford, Oregon, closely followed by her 3rd in Bend Oregon. After receiving requests from out of town customers that they would like to be able to shop online with UrbanMinx, Melissa decided to launch UrbanMinx.com and take the UrbanMinx essence and personality out onto the web!”

She sounds so awesome!  A Bend Fashionista! The website boasts a bevy of designers: 7 For All Mankind, BCBG, Charles David, Dolce Vita, Hale Bob, Juicy Couture, Michael Stars, True Religion…the list goes on and on! They even have a sale section that has designer duds on sale a quite reasonable prices. I’m just curious now as to what is on-hand in their store. I guess I’m gonna have to plan a trip!  I’ll let you know how it goes…
